Ever wanted to play CS:S just like CS:GO but tired of simple model-changing mods? Then this mod is for you! This is a mod for Counter-Strike: Source, which brings a lot of gameplay features from CS:GO into CS:S, such as:
- All weapons from CS:GO (really, all of them!)
- All player factions from CS:GO
- Panorama-like HUD
- Even all agents from CS:GO! (you can switch them in-game whenever you want)
- Loadout system (for example, you can use either P2000 or USP-S, depending on what you prefer!)
- Gloves that you can also change in-game!
- Complete CS:GO shooting mechanics (spray patterns, etc)
- New gamemodes: Deathmatch (normal and FFA), Arms Race, Flying Scoutsman, Wingman
- CS:GO shaders: Character, WeaponDecal, CustomWeapon and improved phong shading for VertexLitGeneric
- CS:GO postprocessing
- VScripts
- Molotov & Decoy grenades
- Playing as bots when dead
- CS:GO player animations (v0.10 and above: from the current CS:GO build; below v0.10: from an old CS:GO build)
- Ironsights
- New cash award system (award for defusing/planting the bomb, different kill rewards for different weapons)
- All CS:GO radio commands
- CS:GO viewbob
- Weapon inspection
- New sounds from CS:GO (footsteps, hit sounds, etc)
- Unique hands viewmodel for each faction
- Unique voice for each faction (bots included)
- Carrying hostages just like in CS:GO
- Different grenade throw ranges
- CS:GO C4 logic (radio message 4 seconds before explosion; it will explode 1 second after going off just like in CS:GO)
- Unique voice lines for each grenade throw
- English and Russian translations

Q: What's the difference between Patch and Standalone?
A: Standalone is basically the entire mod and Patch is a patch for previous version of the mod so that whenever a new version of the mod comes out, you don't need to download the entire mod again
Q: Steam only or this mod will work on Non-Steam as well?
A: Yes it will work on non-steam. Check installation guide above
Q: What platforms does this mod work on?
A: Windows only, use Wine on Linux
Q: Why no Android?
A: Because I don't care about it and I'd rather spend months of time on something wiser than learning Android development
Q: When will you add this or this feature from CS:GO?
A: No idea
Q: Will this work on V34? Will this work on ClientMod?
A: No it won't, and it will never be
Q: Can I play online with this mod?
A: Yeah, you can play online, but with this mod you can play only on servers which are running this mod as well. You can't play on vanilla CS:S servers with this mod.
Q: How to inspect my weapon?
A: Bind a key in controls settings
Q: The viewmodel (hands) is too big/close!
A: You can change it the same way as in CSGO, with viewmodel_ commands (0.5 and up: or with mod options menu)
Q: How to select M4A1-S instead of M4A4? How to buy USP-S instead of P2000? How to select an agent? How to change my knife?
A: 0.5 and up: use mod options menu; 0.4 and below: type loadout_slot_ in the console and you will see all the commands. Enter the command without any values and you will see all possible values for the command
Q: What about HUD? Will you change the HUD?
A: Already done (v0.11 and above)
Q: Will I run this mod with blah blah blah PC specs?
A: No idea, I don't have hundreds of PC parts to test it
Q: How to host a server with this mod?
A: The same way as hosting a server for CS:S, just install the mod on top of it like you do on your client. P.S. As mentioned above, there is no native Linux build, so either use Wine or a Windows hosting
Q: Why not add an ability to change weapon or glove skins in-game?
A: Because it's too complicated and the mod will be too big
Q: How to install skins or change my gloves?
A: You either download them from "Community addons" section of the CS:SO Discord server, make them yourself, or download them from the internet and install them while matching CS:SO file structure (if installing a skin for CS:S then install only materials folder!). In-game option to change gloves was added in 0.6.
Q: Why not put CS:SO on Steam?
A: Because Valve don't want it; yes, I asked them personally
Q: Change or add this or this HUD element
A: I know how the CS:GO HUD looks too
Q: Can you add circle buy menu?
A: Source's 25 years old UI system does not handle anything that isn't a rectangular shape well
Q: Why not add Danger Zone?
A: It's not possible technically nor practically
Q: Why not add skill groups, ranks?
A: Same as above
Q: Can you add any unofficial map?
A: No!
Q: Can you add an addon manager for custom folder?
A: No, it's not possible

sensational mod. my only complaints are: CSGO bots are very stupid, do you have any plans to improve them? the other is that the maps are extremely dark, this problem does not happen in my original CSGO, is there any configuration to be changed in my machine or is it a problem with the game?
bots are barely different to css, their aiming mechanic is different but thats about it, I dont know anything about dark maps, they're way brighter than css ones, try tuning up your brightness settings idk
UPD: if you have an intel igpu, that might be why maps are dark (apparently its a known issue for source engine)
