Classic Doom transformed into a roguelike along with upgrades, stats and random surprises!
Hey, we're still working hard on this mod, so why don't you check out the Discord server? There's news, drunken banter and we can help you out with any issues you might have! We also have a Patreon and could use even a tiny bit of support - the real world's a tough place!
Requires Doom2.wad to run (DOOM II ON GOG | DOOM II ON STEAM)
Version 0.978.3 brings much needed balance to the game - from Hell Gate spawners, through the game director up to more intricate details. You will see your runs go on for longer with more fair fights - but don't worry, there's still plenty of surprises and challenging situation to deal with!
Even the tutorial got reworked, featuring better balance, faster pacing and even additional hints to help beginner players get up to speed and start their journey into infinity. Remember - there's an in-game guide you can consult during gameplay!
I want to thank everybody who has supported me, us and the project in any form - even a "good mod" comment helps out! Also, do remember that this is a DEMO and we're just heating up. The things planned for near (and far) future will blow you away - and that's a promise!
Next update: even more bug-hunting, more content (active items, map additions, chainsaw and melee are going to receive much needed love and care) and more DOOM!

Is the crosshair supposed to be completely disabled?
Nope, but there seems to be a bug with crosshairs from previously used mods or something... To fix it try running vanilla Doom, reset your crosshair settings to default and try again with launching Infinite, then you can tweak the crosshair in doom infinite as you please.
Does this not work with other map packs?
Sadly no, there is some prep work for each rotation map to be able to play it in this mod.
Fully procedural random maps are coming soon tho!
Sorry for your problems! The main point is that mod compatibility was and is not our priority (especially gameplay altering), instead we try to focus on providing the best experience out of the box. Sometimes it's absolute pain to get feedback from people who are running god-knows-what mods and they come to us saying DI is terrible and unstable. The project is super complex as it is, and trying to "bend it" for this or that mod takes time (and will break something else, extra testing time etc). Also, some effects, like liquid glow and dynamic reverb are native to Doom Infinite now, so no need for additional mods there. Stuff like Nashgore and music mods should be fine as well.
TLDR: The mod is telling you that it detected one (or more) mods that will break it somehow, and doesn't let you do start. Try disabling some and run it again!
You should make a patch so it can run on gameplay mods such as brutal doom
Don't worry man, you or community can make this but as difficultoldstuff said, it will take up long time to adapt things to it. Probably better wait until mod will be fully released and then create some gameplay mods
Nope, sorry, that won't happen.
There's a ton of work done to allow Doom Infinite be what it was intended, and making a "patch" of this magnitude would consume way too much resources and time. I spent 5+ years working on this project (which isn't even close to being complete), crafting systems, structures and smashing my head on a wall to break limitations to make it this far.
Sorry, but personally I have no interest of doing that...
Oh ok my bad
No worries, just clearing the air and trying to respond with some info! :)
