4GB MCTF - Multi-Core Threading Fix, for short
Mod Information.

Works with all versions including Steam, GoG and Epic Games.
This enables support for 4GB LAA, Multi-core and Threading. As well as 4GB LAA FOSE support.

This should allow for smoother gameplay, faster loading times, better fps, enhanced quality and eliminate crashes by enabling & adjusting core functions of the game by updating the Fallout_default.ini.
For ini changes see included Readme. This download comes with both FOV versions

By updating the games default.ini it allows the game to generate a newer fallout.ini with the included changes.
Once the launcher is run the new ini will be generated containing the updated settings.
This saves the need to worry about altering the fallout.ini or putting a write protect on it in order to save changes.

The 4GB patch included works for both the game exe and the FOSE exe, as well it can be used for multiple other games.
Example, Half Life 2 or related games, Portal, ect..
This will enable 4GB Large Address Aware on the file.

Follow these few steps to get you on your way.

Make life easy with this simple fix.

Gameplay - This series will show that you can play a crash free and stable game with just this simple fix.
A Main Quest Play-through in God mode to test the games limits and speed up the story-line.

Part 1 Uses the Enhanced FOV, Part 2 and on is Regular FOV

I hope this helps and enjoy your game.
Just a quick thank-you. I really appreciate the response and feedback I have gotten. Thanks very much.
Thanks to Danielle Pistelli and NTCore for the 4GB patch software.
Thanks also to Mod DB and the Mod DB Community.

Need help (info on other mods in general) please.
I'm pretty new to mods themselves, FO3 is already installed on my laptop but I haven't started a game, I really I want to play Fallout 3 but I want to put it on steroids for my first playthrough. I want to add mods as long as it doesn't change the core story/world. Example, if I was playing Doom 1 for the first time (let's pretend there's an actual story there too) I'd want to add HD sky, HD graphics, zombie mutator sounds, Metal music mods, and even Brutal Doom or Project Brutality, but I wouldn't want to add mods so that all of a sudden I'm killing enemies or bosses from Duke Nukem, or change the weapons to Duke Nukem weapons(or that of any other particular game), or change the textures to that of Wolfenstien, or change the game play of that into a survival horror.
Instead of going through ALL these wonderful ideas, reading and reading, and weedeing out the ones that aren't stable yet can someone please give me suggestions on mods to use the first playthrough that will give me a Vanilla Fallout 3 on steroids experience?
After reading this mod, I'm def going to be using this one my first run. As I said I REALLY want to play this game already, but if I can get some good suggestions... preferably mods that work well with each other. Any mods where you think back saying "I really would've liked to play with this mod on my first run." Ideas?

This site is the wrong site to ask these questions. For bethesda games always check the Nexus mod site, not only they have more mods, they have them more detailed too.

Hi,
For a vanilla run.
I would use mtui for resizing the game text (looks alot nicer). Then run it with the enb and sweetfx to sharpen the look of the game without altering it. Check the recommended mods, they are all for a vanilla run-through and will help the game without changing it. If you check the mod description, you'll find find it under other useful mods. Those are the ones that you'd want in a vanilla run through along with this one. Sorry it took me awhile to answer. ModDB didn't notify about this one, kinda came across it checking things over. PM me if you need any other help.

Hi, Im trying to run this game on windows 10. I have followed absolutely all the steps in the video but every time I try to tun the game from the shortcut it opens the crashed and tells me it has stopped working immediately. And when i try to run it through steam it does the same. before I did this it did work fine, I didn't have the best fps so I thought this would help, I could play before now I cannot. I have also put it in vista compatibility service pack 2.

EDIT: And yes I did restart my computer after I had done everything.

Sorry I missed this comment, didn't notify by email. What you want to do with Win10 is goto the nexus one here Nexusmods.com? and make sure to install the winlive update, it includes the gfwl in it. As well as the Directx9 Final Release. You extract it to c:\dx, then goto c:\dx and run dxsetup to install it.
Also if you put in the ENB, remove that in case it is what is causing the issue, only place it after the game
is running, as you may need an alternate enb launcher for the enb to work.
Lastly, check your video card type. If it is an intel graphic, download the intel graphics fix and place the d3d9.dll only from that mod into your game folder with the game.exe.
Pm me directly to chat more if you still need help.

Have you restarted after applying the patch and updates? In some cases it requires a reboot. Is this win8 perchance?
