Fading Dusk is a fully stand-alone mod for Tiberian Sun set a year after the events of Firestorm, and tells an original story that deviates from EA's Tiberium Wars. It currently includes 4 fully playable factions as well as a handful of missions with more in development. Our goal is to create something that feels like a continuation of the tone and style set by TS with enhanced and expanded gameplay.

Did you know that City buildings in Fading Dusk can be captured, and then upgraded to become fortresses?

Due to engine limitations in Tiberian Sun we are not able to replicate the "Garrison Infantry" logic from Red Alert 2 exactly, but we have come up with an alternative:
- capture the target City building with an Engineer
- build the corresponding "Garrison" upgrade plug from your building construction sidebar
- place this upgrade plug on the City structure
- watch it transform into a sandbagged, machinegun-armed fortress

How do you spot the City structures which can be captured? Very simple:
1. They will always have a name starting with the * letter
2. They will have a team-colour banner on the outside, which will start out white (neutral civilian) and then change to your team colour once captured
3. Most of them will also have visible light animations on the outside
