GUNSLINGER mod is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat weapon-related modification, which is not ordinary armory expanding or balancing mod. This mod overhauls the original first-person point of view to true quality vision with every movement looking natural and every weapon behaving like its real counterpart. Using items like med kits will be visible to you now, weapon jamming will have its own unique animation and upgrading your weapon will be another big point of your survival in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – every weapon have it’s own upgrade tree which consists of suppressors, scopes, laser sights and etc.

GUNSLINGER mod will make your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience more immersive with the animation overhaul and challenging since using items will have it’s own requirements (like taking off your mask) and will cost time. Controller will now play with your mind so hard it can make you suicide. So reload your gun, prepare some pills and med kits before going out. That’s how you play GUNSLINGER mod.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. COP - GUNSLINGER mod BETA (07.02.2020)


GUNSLINGER Mod (build 2020/02/07) is available. In the beta version of the mod, absolutely everything is available weapons, mechanics and innovations demonstrated to this day. All unfinished weapons were cut out and replaced with existing ones. This avoided various problems (crashes, distortion of proportions and animations while holding in hands, etc.), get rid of the feeling of unfinished work (there are fewer weapons than in the original, but the mod looks high-quality and complete). At the start, an improved classic set of exo-arm models from the new set is installed. The remaining hand models from the new set will be introduced gradually, until both sets are divided into two separate full-fledged ones.

Patch Note:

• The hero will be less thirsty
• New option "3d scopes". Allows you to turn off 3d scopes and roll back to the original 2d nets of optical scopes (for weak PCs).
• Better shader for the 3D night-scopes (increased visibility)
• Mip-maps for the textures
• Upgrade for the Walther P99
• Advanced inventory and trade window for wide screens
• Increased overdose chance on the master mode
• Quenching thirst with energy-drink and hercules
• Exoskeleton less prone to breakage
• Faster zoom in the Gauss optics
• Removed flash when fired with a silencer
• In the quest for the murder of mercenaries in Pripyat, an SVD is issued with the scope and silencer installed
• New hand models for the closed suits
• Fixes ui detector. The icons of artifacts and anomalies on the Veles and Svarog detectors are of normal size
• Animated suicide for F-1 Grenade
• Nerf characteristics of Saiga
• Disabling the need to remove the helmet / armor for eating
• New sounds of shooting gauss
• Original Gaussian batteries now provide accurate shooting (as in the original), while Cardan batteries have worse performance
• Fix the original bug with autocapture of the target: often shows opponents who are actually behind
• Disabling binocular auto-capture frames
• A new upgrade to autolock targets at Gauss

This is an incredible mod, which I personally advise to play, yet I encountered a number of issues that I would like to inform of:

1) Quest: find SSP suits for mercenaries. If you wear the suit, with artifacts in slots, and complete the quest by giving back the suit - the mercenaries armor will be equipped automatically, so artifacts won’t go to your inventory and game will start crashing if you try to unequip the armor. Any means including selling and disassembling at the mechanic are not working, only loading saves work.

2) Koryaga mission to find the artifact (kill the controller in the dangerous cave): if you have a unique weapon, and Koryaga sees it, he will disappear (for his questline) and you won’t be able to finish the artifact mission. You will kill the controller, tell Beard that you did it, but there won’t be the quest giver to finish the mission so the quest will be bugged in your pda. Even after saving the guy on Yanov the line about dangerous cave won’t appear.

3) Evacuation from Pripyat: Sokolov will not leave the base, while Strelok will rush through the city to the helicopters without waiting for the group. The thig is Sokolov will most likely be killed by the zombies and for sure will be killed when a psy attack happens. At the same time, Strelok will be most likely killed by monolith when rushing to the helicopters. And the funniest thing is that when Strelok reaches the helicopters - he starts running back to the evacuation team (like a rubber band). And the mission mark says to follow Strelok, so you are running around with him, while zombies kill the group. So, in the end, the whole group with a high probability dies. I managed to save the whole group by : in first place killing ALL the zombies attacking the Laundry, than quicksaving and quick loading the gave for 15 times to make Sokolov move (he moves for 5 meters and stops, but that means that when you reach the avenue where Kovalsky talks on the radio - Sokolov will run to the group, and be sure to kill ALL the zombies. The main thing here is to make Sokolov leave the Laundry before the psy attack or he will be killed for sure), then by running all the way to helicopters and back to the group with Strelok. This last mission almost killed me in real life lol.

4) Nimble`s unique weapons: When ordering short range weapons all shotguns are still basic Saiga 12k, despite the fact that Nimle calls them with special names, and a minor cosmetical - SVD Lynx and Priboy VSS do not have a unique gun symbol (1).

All things considered, 1st bug literally crashes the game and hardlocks the progression as you won’t be able to wear SEVA for the Road to Pripyat quest. 2nd and 4th bugs are mostly logical and cosmetical. 3rd bug easily kills your "good" ending and takes enormous amount of time and nerves to make it work.

P.S. Gunslinger MOD is the best mod for the original Call of Pripyat 9/10 because of the listed problems. Thank YOU the mod team and waiting for the new updates.

Got a skull icon while playing and now I cant stop dying from the random status 6 hours of progress lost guys wtf is this ****.

That scull icon is medical overdose, you should take antidote to metigate the effect. dont use the first aid kit as it will only increase your overdose.

I don't know what is the exact effect, but I know that you can cure it by taking antidote
