Named Game of the Year by over 50 publications, Valve's début title blends action and adventure with award-winning technology to create a frighteningly realistic world where players must think to survive. Also includes an exciting multiplayer mode that allows you to play against friends and enemies around the world.
Hi everyone. One year after the previous release we present you a small QoL update to Half-Life: Induction.
Changelog:
With this update we also publish both game source code and map source files for the community.
The Induction game source code is based on Half-Life Featureful project and it's released as a branch on github repository. You're free to use it in your projects, e.g. if you want to port the subtitles system or achievements implementation to your mod.
The Induction map sources are released on moddb. You can use them in your own Half-Life related projects. We expect you to give proper credit to the Hazard Team in this case.
If you want a closer collaboration with us (e.g. on the matter of porting the mod to another platform or engine), we can discuss it on our Discord server.
Have a peek at Solitary Echoes presented in a stunning new look, thanks to ReShade! Also small update on the demo release.
An update to break the long silence and show off new progress on the mod.
Yet another progress update for TimeWarp! Showing off a buncha new weapons, locations and more!

A CRITICAL WARNING:
There is an indie game impersonating itself as a "mod" called "Half-Life: Beyond" formerly known as "Operation: Half-Life".
Moddb.com
This is a standalone game using Unreal Engine 4, and the developers have made it clear by deleting comments revealing their actions that they wish to repeat a similar blunder by cheating in the future MOTY Awards, just like RedRD did in 2021 with his game BFMER, another mod impostor.
Here is my original comment on his page (which he deleted):
I.gyazo.com
yea
this website has very little quality control these days
Don't worry, it's not nearly as popular as BFMER.
Believe me, you won't see it winning any awards.
I hope you're right mate. BFMER also started off as an obscure project deliberately placed in the wrong category by the dev. Years later before anyone would realize, it blew up into the spotlight and now it is doing so well, yet under false pretenses and at the expense of the very identity and integrity of game modifications.
Beyond Half-Life may be a 'nobody's project' now, but remember that it is based on a popular franchise like Half-Life, and most HL projects tend to become easily popular sometimes beyond what is even deserved. It is actually hard to go under radar for a HL fan project, so much that you have to try hard to make it possible.
What I am saying is, try not to underestimate the potential threat of these projects under the mod impersonation trend. Many already did with BFMER...
If they'd just create an IndieDB page and transfer operations to that page, I'd have no problem with the game nor it's developer anymore. In fact, I may have even supported it.
Looks like you really have some paranoidal stuff in your head, if not - just relax.
*paranoiac
Besides the point because I am not ******* paranoid. The evidence is ALREADY in front you! They're called Half-Life: Beyond and BFMER. Soon Portal 64 may join the list of imposters (as the game dev admitted to planning such a trick on Steam to cheat the submission process).

Many of you nowadays are just too damn lazy, negligent, and gullible, just happy to tolerate this blatant disrespect to the order and balance of mods and games. Either that, or the staff just stopped caring to do their jobs for some reason. Maybe fatigue, Void knows...
I bet someone idiot can even sell his/her game disguised as a "mod" on this site and you'd be all too happy to pay them full price for it, much less in the name of "supporting" them. In fact, some ******* devs already have been doing that this year alone! I (and others) are at war with one of them!
Let's go bring back the commercial Valve X Skyrim Mods and just host that onto this site too while we're at it!
No principle or backbone on this running joke of a site anymore...
See, you really can't calm down. "Proofs" are not allowing you to do this. Like the fixed idea. Most people just don't care about mods at all. And that "evidence" for me is evidence of nothing regarding the mentioned mod.
Dear Void mate, stop being delusional. You do not speak for "most people" at all either; certainly not the ones on this site. If anyone, you probably speak more for those modern 'gamers' - which are nothing more than whale-worthy consumers who'll just bend over backwards for the latest, gambleware-laden, live-service trash a corporate company hands them. They are not even gamers, they're gullible idiots and tools. Who in their right mind cares for them besides (merely) the greedy corporations who just want to milk them good and dry?
What is the ******* point of this site continuing to exist if "most people" care not for mods "at all"?!? All of the annual awards DBolical hosts every year, including summer events (like what just passed a month ago I think)? These were not supported by just a peanut gallery of modders and pro-mod enthusiasts. It is a decades-long tradition many of us on this site still value to this day. I still remember the time we even went through all of that trouble preserving GameFront's content when we got word that the site was very close to kicking the bucket, until another miracle saved the site, but at least now we have backups in case GameFront dies for real next time.
There is a VERY GOOD reason this very website exists. Both those who initially created it, and many who supplied content to it (at least prior to this pathetic excuse for a decade) didn't have zero care for game modifications. While I don't see that changing now, I do however see a laziness in quality control growing and it is defeatist talk like what you just told me that encourages such negligence. Thank you for proving my point that some of you guys are becoming lazy.
Lastly, my evidence is not focused directly on the game HLB, it was to explain a dangerous trend of mod impersonations happening in general, both outside and inside this website (I already provided other examples besides Half-Life Beyond). It is perfectly relevant to the actions of the devs behind that game and BFMER.
I care about mods. Many of us do. That is why I and others are calling out projects that do a disservice to the modding world by committing stolen mod valor. I will not calm down until principle and order is restored back to this modding world, or at the very least, this blatant disrespect of mod culture ends.
I mean
He's right
This is just a game
Why are you taking it way too seriously?
You're the one who taking things way too seriously and stop being paranoid for over a mod
and you don't need to write morbillion amount of text for explaining a simple thing
This community is so hopeless...
Whatever mate. I'll just start calling this place ImposterDB or maybe better yet, ClownDB from now on. Guess this will be my final year using this joke of a site.
