The following slots are supported:
- Slot 1 (knife or pistol) - "knife slot"
- Slot 2 (pistol or gun) - "secondary slot"
- Slot 3 (pistol or gun) - "main slot"
Each equip slot is colour coded to its compatible ammo. If you equip multiple weapons that share the same ammo then the ammo will be highlighted based on the lowest index slot (for example, pistol slot colour will take precedence over secondary).
If using the [02 Basic with MCM support] option you can configure the colours of each slot and ammo combination. These options can be changed in game without needing to quit.
Compatibility
Should be compatible with any other mods that highlight items as any internal functions used are patched. If using multiple mods that permanently highlight items, precedence will be determined by mod load order.
Any mods that add new slots, or allow you to equip weapons in other existing slots (such as the binoculars slot) are *currently* not supported.
[02 Basic with MCM support] is tested to be compatible with MCM version 1.6.5
[02 Basic with MCM support] only supports English localization for now
Installation
Please ensure you uninstall any old version first.
For manual installation choose **one** of the root directories in the download zip and extract over your anomaly install.
If using Mod organizer 2 select the zip file and choose **one** of the following options:
- [01 Basic] is the mod without configuration options
- [02 Basic with MCM support] is configurable using **anomaly mod configuration menu**
Known Issues
(1) "If I pickup a gun from the floor, without having one equipped in my Main slot, that slot loses it's highlight until I hover over it"
If you use any other mod that highlights slots it may be causing this if the highlight takes precedence due to script load order. I've observed this happening when using the mod 'NewItemHiLight' by RavenAscendant. This interaction is expected as it will highlight the equip slot on picking up a weapon from the ground (if its auto-equipped).

- If guns share ammo, the colour of the lowest index slot is now used for all guns sharing that ammo

A small mod, but a huge QoL upgrade, I love stuff like this
what happens when 2 equipped guns using the same ammo?
The lower index slot takes precedence.
So the ammo would be highlighted for the secondary over main, and pistol over secondary or main.
I guess it would be preferable for the slots to have the same colour if they shared ammo type. Might have a look at it when I have time.
