Legacy of Nichibotsu is an alternative history mod that explores a world where Japan, along with numerous other Asian nations and people, attempt to expand their influence into the untapped riches and expanses of Africa.
The mod predominantly focuses on South Africa and the titular nation of Nichibotsu, a South Africa equivalent state founded by explorers from the Tokugawa shogunate. Of course, Nichibotsu is not without competition, for the Korean-funded Joseon Trade company and the numerous factions that vie for control over the important island of Madagascar threaten to displace Nochibotsu's strategic position.
Although in its infancy, this mod hopes to offer a narrate experience similar to mods such as HOI4's TNO and KR, while retaining the core gameplay and feel of Victoria 2. Expect characters to play an important part in your nation's path, and beware, for falling into a bottomless abyss may bring misery and dread.
