This helmet is a variant of the famous Soviet helmet in World War II, the Ssh-40. The difference is that there are additional rivets on the top of the helmet, liner and chinstrap which make this helmet more comfortable to wear. In terms of shape, the two helmets are the same and this is why there are dishonest antique dealers who offer Ssh-60 helmets as Ssh-40 with one of them replacing the inside of the helmet.
