Hello everyone!
You didn't hear anything from us for a long time, and now we would like to tell you about the the project's current state. We have not abandoned the development - have been working on the modification all this time. The most important info at the moment: We decided to split the game into two parts and initially release the first chapter (can call it episode), and release the full version later. Most of the materials have already been produced for the first chapter. We don't have exact ETA (release date) yet, but we hope that the wait won't last too long.
A message from Counter Current Games:
Hello, everyone!
After long silence we are finally back with great news! The First Chapter is almost complete and right now the testing stage is on-going. We've also updated some models and most of the music.

i am waiting. just finished Necrologue.
Is this going to be ported over to the new Amnesia game (The Bunker)?
Or is this still going to be a mod for SOMA?
It will be released on the HPL 3 engine from Soma as planned. Maybe after the initial release we could look into porting the game to the new engine, but it might prove very difficult unfortunately..
I can't help but think, all these remakes of the old Penumbra assets...
What's the chance that these remade assets can be ported back into the old games, effectively remastering HUD/UI, enemies, objects, items, first person hands, etc. I know there are upscale texture mods for Penumbra games.
Even if I can't release anything to the public...I would do anything to play with those remade textures/models in the classic games.
I'd be happy if someone simply ported Penumbra to HPL 2.
I can only dream of a HPL2 port or HD models. Penumbra is my favorite series and I'm getting into the HPL modding scene. Maybe I can make something one day.
it's unlikely that the old engine could handle the newer models
Yeah unfortunately you may be right.
Still waiting for this great mod.
