Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas... a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers. Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

GTA San Andreas was the first game of the saga that I've played. I've checked the prequels and this is definitively the best. In the first place, the graphics are great, not the best of all the games, but they are friendly enough with slows PCs. Some of the faces of the people are plain, with faces drawings; not a great effort in that. The wide variety of features in this GTA makes it nearly impossible to get boring. Unfortunately, I think after finishing all the missions it gets progressively less funny, so I wouldn't play it for too much time. The game is long enough and the story, in its beggining, is somewhat simple (considering it's about gangs and drugs). However, after leaving Los Santos, the story turns out in a very interesting way. Definitively, the C.R.A.S.H. has a crucial role in the story. The music is one of the most remarkable things of the game, and with the previous things I said, it makes really good synergy most of the times and generating an engaging atmosphere.
Overall, I think is a must play for fans of sandbox games (whether you know them or not) but you got to be careful about some things. Well known is the violence and the mysogyny in GTA saga, but this is the exponent of that. Also, some communities are crappy in some aspects (spanish-speaking community, for example, got the bad habit of uploading videos with loquendo, which is pretty annoying after few views).
