Q: What is TES: the Battle for Tamriel?

A: This is a mod for The Battle for Middle-Earth II: The Rise of the Witch-King.

Q: What version of the game is the mod for?
А: For version 2.02 v. 8.3.0 (English).

Q: Why 2.02 and not 2.01?
A:
2.02 is most convenient way to play the game so far. It is also the most popular version of ROTWK for now.

Q: How many playable factions will be in the mod?
A: We plan to add 11 factions. As far as we know, it is the game's restricted limit.

Q: What factions will appear in the mod?
A: Empire, Dominion, Nords, Morrowind, Daedra, Undead, Redguards, Bretons, Argonians, Orcs, Reachmen. Right in this order.

Q: Why are there no Khajiit and Bosmer?
A: The Khajiit and Bosmer are part of the Dominion. You can download the mod and see that they are there.

Q: Will the single-player campaign be introduced?
A: We want to add a campaign telling about the events of the Great War.

Q: Does all the mod focused around the Great War events?
A: No. In Skirmish and possible War of the Ring counterpart we use units and heroes from different Eras. None faction is focused purely on one Era.

Q: What about the War of the Ring counterpart and Custom Heroes?
A: We don't know yet.

Q: Once again, what language is the mod developing in?
A: The development of the mod is carried out entirely in English (okay, we still speak Russian between each other).

Q: What about the release date?
A: We don't share release dates unit we are fully sure about them. So if you don't see it on the mod page, it means that we are not ready to share it. We have habit to announce release dates 2-3 weeks before the release itself.

Q: How can I help the mod?
A: If you like our mods, you can support us via Patreon. If you know how to do the maps for ROTWK or you want to make mod's translation, contact as via ModDB's PM or Discord.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1) Make sure that version v9.0.0 of ROTWK Patch 2.02 is installed. If you have Edain Mod installed, disable it.
2) Switch your 2.02 version to 9.0.0 before installing the mod
2) Download Battle for Tamriel Beta installer
3) Run the exe as Administrator and install the mod anywhere except BFMEII and ROTWK folders
4) Run the mod through shortcut, created on the Desktop

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If you get crashes while entering Skirmish mode or choosing the side, these tips will help you:
- Open vanilla ROTWK and choose Men in the faction list
- Delete your CaHs in My ROTWK Files folder
- Delete your skirmish profile in the same folder

HOW TO PLAY THE MOD ONLINE

T3A:Online: download T3A:Online, hook your ROTWK launcher and play online

Hamachi\Radmin VPN, other Hamachi-like VPN lobbies - similar to other mods and games you would play via these programs

GameRanger: follow this article or this video from 3:16. The only difference is that you need to put Extra Flags from Battle for Tamriel (e.g. - mod "C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle for Tamriel Beta\bfta") in this exe. Be sure to unhook your ROTWK exe from T3A:Online before doing all this

There's a bug where in fortress maps with build plots, you cannot upgrade any units whatsoever. This affects all factions.

I try to run the game and I get an error from Microsoft Visual C Runtime saying that the application requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Any way to fix it?

Love the designs, but I feel they could use some more detailed textures and stuff. Maybe get in touch with the Afe of the Ring guys?

Just came to check on this Mod's progress again. I'm exited to see the Morrowind spellbook.

I can only wish this Mod and its creators all the best. Adapting the Elder Scrolls into a BfME 2 Mod is an ambitious task, but you guys are doing great work with it.

Thanks. TES adaptation for BFME was always our dream, and we're some sort of experts in adapting TES for another games, considering our experience with The Elder Scrolls: Total War

Hey, Very Fantastic Mod I wish you all the Best on that Project.
But it needs much time to be equal to AotR which its picture on every sector could tell it is another game , maybe , bfme 3..
So , is there any possible way to team up or make an AotR sub mod about this theme assets But more about Narnia and there already a friend here that has long time ago began a project about Narnia Theme. So is there any possible hope to corporate on Narnia and AotR makers to bring a Fantastic after LOTR picture Fantasy Mod that include Elder Scrolls and Narnia. Of course Narnia includes 3 different Main Factions So some of the Elder Scrolls would have to be reduced or even replaced. Just saying though, just a back head mind to bring another epic in AotR picture Mod about Narnia and Elder Scrolls

Just finished playing your first release, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I haven't seen this kind of attention to detail, cohesive design and unique visuals since Age of the Ring. This has made me pick up an old Elder Scrolls Online artbook I was given years ago and read some of the lore for the first time.

I really hope you guys get to fully execute your faction & campaign plans. From what I've seen this project has enormous potential. Good luck!
