We're proud to confirm that we configured our very own custom preset for ReShade. It is originally based on the ReShade preset for Half-Life by QueenPlague, but altered in some key aspects in order to fit the darker maps and atmosphere of Solitary Echoes better.

The preset will be released along with the demo so it's up to the player if they want to play with or without the added effects. Of course everyone can also tweak the preset to their liking. Please note that you need to have ReShade installed in order to use the preset.

The demo is making great progress by the way. We had a very successful beta test phase with the community and the testers found countless of little kinks here and there which we're ironing out right now.

Below you'll find some more impressions of what ReShade can do with Solitary Echoes. You can click on each image for a larger version.

Cheers, simbl for Team Lambda.

It's a matter of personal taste I guess. That's why it's optional and also customizable. :)

Not really worth the effort. Pretty much just adds annoying bloom. The difference is marginal.

Yeah everyone who doesn't like the look can just not install it - or install it but tone it down a notch.

Looks nice!

Normally I'm not a fan of post-process injectors (ReShade/ENB) being used in old/retro 3D games + mods, but in this case it looks quite good.

Thanks! I think it works good here because the mod is really dark per default.
I tested it on vanilla HL and some other mods and it's hit & miss.

Cool with Reshade, but why you didn't put more intense lightning in the vanilla version ? Normally with the light textures you can increase it.
